The beer tasting bike tour lasts about 1 hour and runs between 10:00 and 18:00. A guide rides with you along the river in Belém, and beer, sangria and juice are included, so you can pedal, drink and take in the views of the river at the same time. Up to 17 people fit on the tour and the price is €50 per person. A sunny-day classic that works well before lunch or late in the afternoon.

Good to know before the ride
The route follows the flat cycle path along the river, so you do not need to be a regular cyclist to join. Bikes and helmets are included, and the guide adjusts the pace to the slowest rider in the group. Along the way you stop at the Belém Tower, the Monument to the Discoveries and the famous pastry shop, before the beer tasting starts.
Wear comfortable clothes and trainers, and bring sunscreen in summer. Beer is only served at the tasting stops, never while riding, so everybody gets back safely. The tour ends close to public transport, and we can arrange a transfer back to the city centre if the group prefers to go straight to dinner.
The beer tasting bike tour runs all year round, with a slightly shorter route in winter. We recommend booking the beer tasting bike tour for late morning or early afternoon, so the group is back in the centre in time for dinner and a night out in Cais do Sodré.

The deposit is usually €100 when you book. For larger bookings the deposit can be up to €50 per person, depending on the total price – your travel agent will tell you the exact amount. The rest is paid one month before arrival.
